Please introduce yourself and where you work.

My name is Michael Pignataro and I’m CEO for Operations, here at ‘corePHP’. I am responsible for sales and operations, as well as recruiting, hiring, training, and overseeing project management, account management, and client services team at ‘corePHP’s Battle Creek, Michigan headquarters.

How do you think SEO has changed over the last 10 years?

Anyone that knows search engine optimization knows that the landscape has completely changed. Ten years ago, site owners were concerned with keywords for example, while now in 2017, the focus is on really good, unique and valuable content.

How did you get introduced to digital marketing, more specifically SEO?

We always knew that digital marketing and SEO were important, but our program really flourished with the right digital marketing manager. Son Koral (http://sonkoral.com/), has really taken our SEO and DM programs to a new level. His experience comes from years of experience in the industry and a passion for cutting edge information that’s enabled us to be more than competitive in the game.

What are the services you provide to your clients?

‘corePHP’ offers both services and products. From our services side, we offer the digital marketing, SEO and SEM of course, but we’re also professional web developers, application architects and a digital media firm. At the end of the day, we are solution providers for your digital needs.

What strategy according to you will prevail in 2017 for SEO?

‘corePHP’ believes in providing as much value as possible to your audience. We focus on creating content that’s unique of course, but we also really want people to get the information they were looking for when they search the internet.
Creating content that people will want to bookmark, come back to and share with others is probably the most important, but also, the most overlooked strategy to SEO we’ve seen.

What would your advice be to people who are looking to take up digital marketing as a career choice?

One of the best ways to get started in the field of Digital Marketing is to start your own website or blog and try to take it to 100 unique visitors a day in 60 days with no paid advertising.
We find that people that are interested in digital marketing will learn if it’s right for them right away, with a minimal expenditure of time and resources.
By starting your own site and trying to get a constant 100 unique visitors a day, you’re forced to learn many of the core techniques on your own, and if you find that it still excites you after the 60 days, then a career in digital marketing might be right for you.
