Backlinks in recent times, have become extremely important for anyone doing Search Engine Optimization for their website. So much so, backlinks are now considered the building blocks of a good and successful SEO strategy.<\/p>\n

Therefore, lets first jump on to what Backlinks are?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Backlinks are links, also known as inbound links that are directed towards one of your web pages or the entire website from an outside source or from within your own website. The reason why backlinks are so important to search engine rankings is because most search engines rely on algorithms that measure the number of such backlinks a website or a web page has, and ranks those web pages with more backlinks in a higher position. Therefore, the number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website to that search engine and gives it more relevance than others in their SERP\u2019s.<\/p>\n
