Hey, I’m Bill Jones President at Cusp Creative Agency – Specializing in providing a myriad of Marketing related services (Branding, Digital Marketing, Web Development, SEO, Advertising, Strategy, etc) for Cusp’s growing roster of clients. Headquartered in Sunny Southern California.

How do you think SEO has changed over the last 10 years?


What we have seen at Cusp Creative Agency over the past 10 years in the Digital Marketing space is the further merger of disciplines. Years ago you had a Social Media expert, an SEO, a Developer, etc – wjat it seems like more and more is Agencies and individuals must be proficient in all areas to succeed. Specialization has become a handicap.

How did you get introduced to digital marketing, more specifically SEO?


In college, and after, I ran a few blogs. These were passion projects for me, I really didn’t even tell friends and family about my ‘secret projects.” Wanting to get more and more traffic and Ad money, I self-taught how to utilize SEO and began getting decent traffic that helped get me free tickets to sows and better access to artists.

What are the services you provide to your clients?

What strategy according to you will prevail in 2018 for SEO?


2018 has already shaken up a lot of what had been staples for SEOs and Digital Marketers. Data and Data security will be huge. The recent news about Facebook, Cambridge Analytica, etc has raised awareness about the subject. Businesses and Brands will shift attention and Ad Spend back to Search Marketing/SEO. Content will once again be King – not tracking.

What would your advice be to people who are looking to take up digital marketing as a career choice?


It’s not something that is a career choice, it is something you are already doing – if you are not already, then it is not for you. It is just a way of doing things that we have always done. If you are looking to get into Digital marketing to make money and build a Business, than like most careers you will not be fulfilled. The joy I get from it is that there is never an end. not one person has the best way to do any one part of it. it constantly changes and keeps you on your toes. We are all students of the space, beware of the Gurus.
