Tomáš is Czech native, currently Prague citizen. He started his career as SEO consultant in a local digital agency, now he leads the SEO team in Czech branch of Performics, with particular focus on strategies, search engine marketing and connecting SEO to content.
Please introduce yourself and where you work.
My name is Tomas Falada, I am a Head of SEO at Performics, a performance and digital marketing agency in Prague, Czech Republic.
How do you think SEO has changed over the last 10 years?
There are many changes that affect SEO. For example focus on mobile devices, web page load speed, security protocols or Google updates but in general is SEO still the same. If you want to create unique, relevant and useful content and connections for visitors you can not fail.
How did you get introduced to digital marketing, more specifically SEO?
My first look to digital marketing and SEO was on my own websites. I have tried to get more visitors and SEO was one of the cheapest options for me J I achieved a detailed focus on SEO in my next work experiences.
What are the services you provide to your clients?
We provide a full-service in online marketing with a primary focus on PPC, SEO, display campaigns and content marketing.
What strategy according to you will prevail in 2017 for SEO?
I think the focus will be more on mobile devices, local SEO, AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) or faster page speed. But overall strategy is still the same – provide useful and unique content for visitors and be at the right time at the right place when people looking for our clients on the internet.
What would your advice be to people who are looking to take up digital marketing as a career choice?
Learn the fundamental principles of different parts of digital marketing, analytics and websites development. Be opened, keep learning and don´t forget using common sense.
