Get to Know Rahul Alim, Founder of Custom Creatives

Rahul Alim is an expert in the digital marketing industry and has helped 1,000’s of businesses with their marketing. Please introduce yourself and where you work.

My name is Rahul Alim. I am from the best place in the world, Southern California. I love playing and watching sports, especially NFL, NBA, EPL and La Liga. My passion is sales and marketing. I have helped thousands of businesses since I started my agency, Custom Creatives. I recently launched a brand targeting attorneys. I love working with small law firms and competing and winning with online marketing strategies.

How do you think SEO has changed over the last 10 years?

Doing SEO has evolved and content and distribution are a primary asset. If you notice who ranks at the top for your business, likely it’s a company with better quality content, more of it and in multiple formats such as Video, Infographics, Podcasts, blogs and PR.

How did you get introduced to digital marketing, more specifically SEO?

I was introduced into marketing at an early age. I grew up in my parents’ office and my bed was under a desk. I got to learn first-hand how to run and operate a successful business and what it took to scale a business. I learned that it was more than just sweat and heart, it took skill and precision to grow. Being the best at what you do and always setting and beating goals became ingrained in me.
I was introduced to digital marketing in 2003 when I started working for, a technology company that sold digital marketing products to real estate agents, real estate brokers and surrounding industries. I was intrigued that people would go to a search engine and find anything they wanted, then they could buy that something and all this occurred in a short time frame. Whether it was a house, shoes, tickets to a game, anything could be discovered online. I started to study online marketing for the real estate industry very closely. About 2 years later, I started an agency that catered to local businesses looking for more customers on demand, which turned out to be many businesses very quickly. Our services became high in demand and we earned a reputation as a reliable team with results that stood out from other companies. We won awards and wrote for amazing websites that help business owners and marketers grow. I just love what I do and would never change it.

What are the services you provide to your clients?

Custom Creatives offers a variety of services as a single point for clients. Our core services include Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click Advertising, Content Marketing, Facebook Ads. What strategy according to you will prevail in 2018 for SEO?

A 2018 Strategy that will prevail is VIDEO. YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine in the world and they are a video platform. Some stats predict that up to 80% of content online will be video by 2020. It is time to adapt and integrate video into your marketing mix ASAP. Get comfortable and turn on that camera!

What would your advice be to people who are looking to take up digital marketing as a career choice?

If you are new and wanting to enter the Digital Marketing world, I would suggest getting experience early as an intern, study marketing like you want to be the best, get a mentor, learn public speaking and share your knowledge with video. With focus and drive, you can turn into the authority in whatever you decide.
